CHANGING THE WAY PEOPLE VIEW PROPERTY WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT MAY 2024 Marco Harris is an independent estate agent, specialising in the Southampton and Portsmouth area. Set up by two friends Marco Harris are paving the way in a different approach to selling property and they wanted their new website to reflect this. Something that would stand out, be disruptive and really highlight their USP – their property marketing focus and offering.
Conducting market research into modern real estate and forward thinking luxury brands informed our design decisions. We created a site that blends a mix of creative content; videos, property imagery and social media feeds with more informative, longer length written content that would make up their services pages.
We used Property Hive to link up their property listings feed directly from their Loop account so they would be able to add content into one central place that syncs up with their website, Rightmove and Zoopla, making it quick and easy for them to manage. One of the concerns initially raised by the Marco Harris team was how well the website build would match the design, especially when integrating with a third party provider – Property Hive, as this was an issue they had had with a previous supplier. As always with our website design and development service we were able to ensure the build matched the design exactly to create an on-brand, engaging digital experience across the whole website.
One of the other key considerations when designing the website was user experience – to keep things simple we minimised the top navigation to four key areas of the business and then created drop down mega menus to then navigate directly to individual pages. Marco Harris also wanted their website to really showcase their excellent property marketing – all their videos, property tours, drone photography and property photography is shot in-house so this was something we really enjoyed showcasing across the site.
